Early Career
Geoff is a songwriter and singer from the seaside town of Morecambe in the north west of England.  His professional music career began aged 15 when he became songwriter and keyboard player for northern pop/rock band The Ice Factory. The band toured the UK, performed on TV, released an EP ‘Jerusalem’ and supported artists including Blur. Eventually the band were managed by Pel Management and Co London and Chelsea Music Publishing and secured recording time from Chrysalis records.

Solo Artist
After the band split up in 1992, Geoff moved to Manchester to focus on songwriting and launching a solo career. In August 1995 he released his first solo single ‘Breathe’ on Chelsea Music. The single never penetrated the top 40 and following further recordings with PCW records, in 1997 Geoff took a break from the recording industry and started to mentor up and coming singers, bands and musicians at community arts organization More Music in Morecambe. During his time he worked with hundreds of young groups and performers including British alternative rock band The Heartbreaks

Studio Album
After a ten year break, Geoff stepped back into the recording studio with his band to record his first full studio album ‘Holy Tide, Holy Light’ a set of songs penned on a sabbatical to The Holy Island.

New Songs
Geoff is still writing songs for other artists including the top 10 Latvian singer Jenny May.

ACTING

Geoff was brought up on a holiday camp and was always in close proximity to the stage, either entranced by the shows and performers each night that would roll into town to entertain the willing crowds or to get up on the stage, getting involved with the productions both on and behind the scenes.

Geoff also spent much of his childhood in and around Television studios and film sets, watching his Mum, Marcelline perform on well know dramas, films and quiz shows of the time.

Being surrounded by the buzz and excitement of the entertainment industry inspired Geoff to develop his acting and performance skills and in his formative years joined a local amateur dramatic society and appeared in regular college productions.

At the point when drama school beckoned, Geoff had become heavily involved with the Ice Factory and he decided to follow the musical highway with the band seeking fame and fortune. When the group met their early demise, Geoff returned to his love of acting and took up 4 years training with the legendary David Johnson, who founded the famous Oldham Theatre Workshop and is renowned for producing some of the best acting talent in Britain.

Geoff spent many years performing in local theatre, touring with small productions and never straying too far from his musical roots, touring shows around schools and colleges with MMM.

After stepping back into the musical spotlight for a few years Geoff has now returned to acting and has recently appeared in several television commercials, short films and most recently made his debut soap appearance on Coronation Street.
